‘Amrit Kaal’ ke pehle budget main Finance Minister (FM) Nirmala Sitharaman, ne Hindustaan
ki middle class ko kaafi-kuch celebrate karne ke liye diya.

In fact, Union Budget 2023-24 had something for everyone, except maybe for smokers and
the tobacco lobby kyunki, as expected, cigarettes aur tobacco-related products ke prices to
badhaye hi gaye.

Is Union Budget ke madhyam se sarkaar ka yeh uddesh tha ki economic growth boost ho,
vyapaari apne businesses main aur invest karein, aur public ke haath main kharch karne ke
liye zyada paise hon.

Tax Delight:
Har budget main janta-janardhan ka bas ek hi sawaal hota hai – kya is saal Income Tax
rates/slabs main raahat milegi?

Aur is baar FM ne public ki sun li, shayad isliye bhi kyunki yeh 2024 general elections se
pehle hone wala aakhri full Budget hai, and the middle class has always been a solid vote
bank for the BJP.

Nayi tax regime ke anatargat, jin logon ki earnings Rs. 7.5 lakh/year tak hain, unko ab koi
income tax nahi dena padega.
Yeh isliye, kyunki rebate limit Rs. 5 lakh se Rs. 7 lakh kar di gayi hai aur saath main Rs. 50,000
ka standard deduction bhi available hai.
Jin logon ki saalana taxable income Rs. 5 crore and above hai, unke liye highest surcharge
rate ko bhi 37% se kaat kar 25% kar diya gaya hai.
Matlab, lower, middle aur affluent classes – teeno ko fayeda hua hai.

Udharan swaroop – agar aapki annual earnings Rs. 7 lakh hain to nayi tax regime ke under
aapki Rs. 33,800 ki bachat hogi. Agar aapki annual income up to Rs. 10 lakh hai, to aapki Rs.
23,400 ki bachat hogi. Aur agar aap saalana Rs. 15 tak kamate hain, to aap Rs.49,400 ki tax
savings kar payenge.

More Power to Savings :
Union Budget 2023-24 ka ek aham hissa tha savings promote karna. Yeh isliye, kyunki
investment cycle main gati laane ke liye savings zaroori hai.
Isko madde-nazar rakhte huay FM ne Senior Citizen Savings Scheme ki deposit limit ko Rs. 15
lakh se Rs. 30 lakh tak badha diya.

Monthly Income Scheme ki deposit limit ko bhi Rs. 4.5 lakh se Rs. 9 lakh kar diya hai, aur ek
special women’s small savings scheme – with up to Rs. 2 lakh deposit and 7.5% interest – bhi
announce ki hai.

Budget 2023-24 ne MSMEs ko bhi ek bada incentive diya hai.
Bharat ke MSMEs par COVID ke time jo fines lage the, un main se 95% amount sarkaar
reimburse karegi. Yeh hi nahi, – MSMEs ke liye sarkaar ne Rs. 2 lakh-crore ki additional
collateral-free guaranteed credit line bhi ghoshit ki hai.

Capital Expenditure :
Shayad is Budget ki sabse badi announcement thi ki Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) ko badha
kar Rs. 10 lakh-crore kar diya gaya hai, jo ki India ki GDP ka 3.3% hai.
Yeh Capex pichle budget se 33% zyada hai aur is ke madhyam se economy badhegi,
infrastructure ki unnati hogi, aur rozgaar ka nirmaan bhi hoga.
Fiscal deficit ka target bhi revise kar ke 5.9% of GDP par rakh diye gaye hai.

Adanis Play Spoilsport :
Capex aur consumption centred Budget ko le kar Indian markets itne thrilled the ke FM ki
speech ke dauraan hi intraday Sensex ne 60,000 aur Nifty futures ne 18,000 ke aankadein
paar kar liye the.

Lekin jald hi the Adani Group’s ongoing troubles proved to be a dampener.
Budget announcement ke baad Credit Suisse Bank ne Adani Group ke bonds collateral ki
jagah accept karne band kar diye, aur tezi se poora market – including Bank Nifty and Adani
Group stocks – girna chalu ho gaye.
Halanki FM Nirmala Sitharaman ki speech ke baad market ka mood upbeat lag raha tha,
Credit Suisse ke decision ne saare market ko neechay kheench liya.

Haal itna bura tha ki jin logon ne Adani ke FPO mein subscribe kiya tha, unhone bhi Adani
stocks ko Futres & Options (F&O) market main short karna chalu kar diya.
Unfortunately, LIC ke share price main bhi sharp correction dekhne ko mila jab sarkaar ne
bola ki woh life insurance policies jinke premium Rs. 5 lakh se zyada hain, unki income bhi
taxable ghoshit rahe hai.

In fact, Information Technology aur FMCG sector ke alava baaki saare sectors ke stocks main
ghatauti dekhi gayi.
FMCG sector ne isliye spike kiya kyunki jab logon ke haath main zyada disposable income
hoti hai, toh generally consumption aur demand dono badhte hain.

Investors ke liye ek Budget-related positive outcome bhi tha. Budget speech se pehle sabko
darr tha ki Long-Term Capital Gains (LTCG ) aur Securities Transaction Tax (STT) ko badhaya
jayega. Thankfully, the FM left these untouched, much to the relief of many.
Toh Doston, iske sath hum effectively aaj ka video wrap karnenge. Hume ummeed hai ki
aapko Union Budget Announcement ke impacts ke bare mein behtar samajh aaya hoga.
